The outside face of the townhouse is done in classic old brick that has been restored and repointed. Parking is right outside the door.
You enter the townhouse and are immediately impressed by its style. First you see the big format tiles that give the impression of poured concrete. You look right and see the floating iron staircase, done by a local artisan. You look forward and begin to appreciate the clean lines and bright, airy feel of the space. The white walls are complimented by the warmth of two stone and brick columns that separate the spacious lounge/living room area from the kitchen. There’s the stylish touch of floor mounted accent lighting at the two columns. You enter the kitchen and it’s more of the same – clean, contemporary and open. The kitchen is brand new, never used, and includes a movable island. Note, also, that on the ground floor there’s a simple WC with a very stylish sink and some very cool wall tiles. Back to the kitchen where, through a big, all glass door, you enter the ground floor terrace…there’s sufficient room here for 2 people and a table. The views are stupendous. From this terrace, down a set of stairs, you find the cantina/technical room. This is a storage area that also houses the gas boiler and the guts of the plumbing system.
Back inside, we ascend Townhouse di Stile’s floating staircase, with recessed wall lighting along its entire length, and arrive on the 1st floor. Here there’s a guest bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The style and quality of the bathroom layout and fittings is excellent. Big, ample, walk-in shower with glass wall, stone accented walls, Italian tiles and fittings…tasteful, quality, style. Also on this floor is a sizable multi-use space…you can use it as a separate lounge, an office, a gym, or, equip it with a pullout couch and you’re able to sleep 6 people at Townhouse di Stile. Another element of style is the all-glass waist-high wall that divides the stairwell.
Heading up to the 2nd floor we have two terrifically stylish features. There’s the big, open master suite that’s welcoming and full of light. The master bathroom is beautifully equipped, all fittings and fixtures of high quality Italian manufacture. Also on this floor is the fantastic roof terrace. The views from this terrace are stupendous. Our photos of the views are breathtaking, but, maybe they capture 20% of the reality! These views are Mother Nature’s contribution of style at Townhouse di Stile.
Some practical elements of style at Townhouse di Stile…there’s underfloor heating, so efficient heating and no unsightly radiators…there’s broadband internet available at the townhouse…the townhouse is on town sewers and town gas.
Townhouse di Stile is 25m from the Centro Storico of Colmurano, a classic hill-town. In addition to it’s panoramic views and all manner of basic shopping and services, Colmurano has a reputation for great festas!! There’s the weeklong summer ARTESTRADA – a street art and world music festival…there’s the October CASTAGNATA celebrating the vino novello and roasted chestnuts…then, there’s the wildly popular CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL…What’s also great about this stylish town is that it’s super close to other stylish towns…within 5-15 minutes you can be in charming places like Urbigsalia, San Ginesio, Ripe San Ginesio, Loro Piceno and the cultural and commercial hub, Tolentino, with all manner of services and shopping, including big shopping malls, the superstrada and typical small family-run shops in its centro storico. Restaurants and local artisan food producers are found everywhere around Townhouse di Stile. Note, too, that the townhouse sits just 10 seconds from the Colmurano bicycle paths and walking trails…Colmurano is one of the leading towns at the center of a major eBike initiative in the province.
Heading out from Townhouse di Stile, it’s just 30 minutes to Adriatic Beaches and the Sibillini Mountains. The provincial capital of Macerata (home to a lively university quarter, a famous outdoor summer opera season and elegant shops and restaurants) is 20 minutes’ drive. The Ancona Airport is 1 hour away and in about 90 minutes you can be at the Pescara and Perugia Airports. You’re also conveniently located for arrivals from Rimini, Bologna and Roma.
